GreenBiz Consulting Services started in 2009. Through education and certification the company was started to assist residential home owners and commercial business owners learn about indoor air quality and green practices that affect the health of their families, friends, co-workers and employees. Recommend additional practices and give a third party certification based on a point system from 100 to 900, Silver certification through Emerald that the home or business is truly practicing green and not just hyping that they are green. Annual recertification is required to ensure that the company remains or increases their abilities to remain sustainable.

Colleen Gifford is the President and Owner of GreenBiz Consulting Services and Tenacious Business Services. My background is one of continuous learning. I have been a Network Administrator and Operations manager in the Energy industry for the past 9 years.

I have had the invaluable experience over the years of being a manager and a teacher for not only individuals, but for small and large businesses as well. I am a technical trainer and technical writer and have been in this line of work since the 1980’s.

When I began my career I knew without a doubt that computers and all that they entail were the wave of the future. I have always been passionate about this technology and through years of experience I have developed my skills to include those both needed and desired as attributes of a strong team leader and educator. These are the skills and type of commitment that are necessary to make change happen in both our social and business environment.

I started GreenBiz Consulting Services after going back to school and becoming certified by the Green Business League as an indoor air quality expert.

I am continuing my education through Mt. Hood Community College and by July of 2010 will be certified as a Sustainable Building Advisor. 80% to 90% of our day is spent indoors. I have a passion to teach everyone how to live better through the understanding of indoor air quality, how to get the most from your hard earned dollar and promoting health along the way.
